I have something funny that happened to me the other day when i had a drained starting battery.After i jumped it off i ran it for a while and tryed to start the generator while the motor was running.A...

starting battery was not charged 'enough' YET !
load spikes from the the generator 'starter' ? causing transients on the chassis electrical system
