Norcold manual says flashing light indicates it is in the "Back-up Operating System", which it says is not owner-serviceable.
There are Norcold fridge guys on here who may be able to clarify.
Mine (13 years old) now sometimes shows an F code when on gas, but that is just the soot flakes coming down from the chimney onto the flame. A little clearing up solves that till the next time. No flashing lights though.
