Not sure if you are aware but you are responding to a post that's 7 years old. OP hasn't been on here in some time.

So maybe we should never respond to old posts?
- JoeChiOhkiOct 03, 2013Explorer IICoat it in snow roof before you try painting it. The solvents in a number of the paints will dissolve the foam board.
- monicarick01Oct 02, 2013ExplorerThanks for idea of HOUSE paint. I used Kiltz interior/exteriour primer bright white, and it went on perfectly and is no longer pink.
- FishinghatOct 02, 2013Explorer III used a water based white exterior house paint. It took several coats but eventually worked.
I used the foam to build a insulation jacket for my portable freezer to make it more efficient. Even though it was out of sight in my storage bay, I didn't like the "pink" color of the foam. Besides, if it is outside in the sun, the white paint will help reflect sunlight. - Super_DaveOct 01, 2013ExplorerDoesn't the camper bumper area cover it visually while on the truck? If I was going to try and paint it, I would use a water based paint so it doesn't react with the insulation.
- monicarick01Oct 01, 2013ExplorerI should clarify. I glued the foam ONTO the camper so I would not have to remove it or store it when the camper is not in use.
Thanks for the input - I put the pink foam on top of the bed liner for the box and then put a standard rubber bed mat on top of the foam. When the camper is off the truck I leave the foam and rubber mat inside the bed and put on a fiberglass cap. The rubber mat keeps the camper from sliding and also keeps cargo from sliding around when the cap is being used.
Sure, knock yourself out. I wasn't trying to be critical. Some visitors have stated they can't see the age of the posts when they respond. It's a website problem we have asked to have addressed. I was just letting you know. And while your response may have been helpful to the OP, it's rather old and OP hasn't been on here in some time. Most of the traffic on here recently is from visitors responding to posts that are old, sometimes over a decade.
