Lot's of good discussion on this and the merits of Dicor for different purposes.
What I've found is that sealing two materials in compression (like a roof edge trim) and then trying to seal it on the outside is not the best way to achieve a good weatherproof seal. I removed and replaced my edge trim on an aluminum roof, taking the time to place good quality elastomeric sealant between all materials and on the exterior of the trim. I still ended up with a couple of very small leaks. My guess is that the water infiltrates through the screws that attach the trim. My solution was to use some of that "junk" Eternabond tape over the top of the edge trim and onto the roof. All is now good and I test yearly, doing an interior pressure method to ease my mind.
Good luck to the OP and his sealing efforts.
