I think it is a great idea. You are using just a 1/2 gallon of water to take a nice, hot, long shower. You don't reuse the 1/2 gallon over and over. You just use it once and then maybe wash your motorcycle or rig with the used water. He also explains what soaps to use and how to add Epsom salt to the mix to separate out the soap from the filter.
