That bale bed makes the solar cart thing really interesting. Tile and rotate become options. There nicer PSW inverters for $200-$250 like pianotuna has discussed. They are on my wish list.
One thing to consider is the solar can charge while driving, too. Also the cart car recharge from the truck alternator with the right wiring. Lastly a genset could mount in the cart too since you basically have a crane to move it.
