He pretty much laughs at people that have generators. I would love to be frugal enough to not need a generator but don't plan on getting rid of mine anytime soon. But one comment he say's is "keep the controller close to the batteries". I would encourage everyone to ready his blog. He has a lot of experience. Other thing he mentions is to use large enough wiring then go a little bigger. How did your last trip work with handling the panel?

I should clarify. The 25ft cords are between the panel and the controller. The controller to the battery lines are short.
Frugal? We were anything but this last trip. Will I sell the generator? naw. It's needed for AC and carrying a second solar system as a back up would be a pain. Plan B is good to have out in the middle of no where.
I have no problem handling the panel, then again I'm a big person. Once it's on the ground a kid could handle it.
BTW, what little I know about solar I learned here.
