Maybe I'm missing something. Your 4 6V's will be dedicated to an inverter and you want to wire them all in series for 24V?? If so, then you'll need a 24V inverter, which that Xantrex that PT linked to won't work as it's 12V only. Also, if the batteries are just dedicated to the inverter, you'll miss all the amp hours running 12V stuff too unless you do like 2oldman did and buy a DC-DC converter to run 12V only items. Running the converter from the inverter is REALLY inefficient. I'd suggest turning that off during camping and running 12V only items from a DC-DC converter. WAY more efficient and WAY less draw on your batteries.
