MW on inverter is no big deal unless you want to bake a casserole for 10 minutes.
Still no big deal. There is nothing special about the MW compared to any other loads. It is just a matter of having the set-up (nothing unusual there either) and most especially, a way to recharge your batteries (also nothing special)
Not claiming this is the best meal ever, but let's say you BBQ the steaks while DW uses the MW off the 2000w inverter and the four batts to do the potatoes for 9 minutes, then does the frozen California Style mixed veg for 5 minutes. That's 14 minutes at say 130a draw using a smaller sort of MW. What's that in AH?
14/60 x 130 = 30.3 AH. How much is that to a 460AH battery bank once a day? Of course you would not do that every day, but might go a few minutes at a time a couple or three times, who cares?
How long to recharge that 30AH extravaganza? On the gen with the 100a charger, 20 minutes of gen time. On solar with 10a av over a few hours mid-day (a 200w array eg), three hours
Why should you go without the MW? Yes you can cook other ways, and you do. Usually you cook some parts of the meal on the stove and some parts with the MW for say a 5 minute job.
5/60 x 130 = 11AH . 7 minutes of gen time, or one hour of solar to replace.
