Solar is a money saving thing for me. I'm not buying all the global warming garbage floated by politicians.
Global warming is a hot potato for both consumers and politicians. Though most people believe that climate pattern is changing and that CO/CO2 emissions do affect it. Warming or not, but it's changing. More frequent and more severe storms and tornadoes. More humid than usual is some places and drier than usual in other. Beside "global warming" or, let's say, any climate change - there is a matter of pollution. Air quality in big cities of China and Philippines is terrible, people have to use respirators and gas masks on the streets, not fun at all. CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, and water acidity is rising as a result (which has been documented). To me it is looks illogical and impossible that such a change in atmosphere composition would not lead to changes in wind, temperature and other weather factors, but to each its own.
Saving money on solar is realistic because campgrounds with hookups charge a lot more for electricity per month than it would've cost with local residential rates. Not to mention generators - any genny time is a negative entry on the book, compared to solar.
