Thought I would post my idea here and let the experts tell me what I am missing. First off, I own 2ea RV's. 1 is a gooseneck horse trailer with living quarters and the other is a bumper pull prowler....

Why did I do this? Many reasons actually
a) I was lugging around and maintaining 6 GC batteries. Heavy stuff.
b) I wanted to go back to 4 batteries, but I remembered that 4 @ 12v weren't able to handle big draws very well. I reasoned that higher voltage would cut the amps in half, maybe being easier on the system. For sure it cuts down on the heat at the wires, connections and batteries.
c) I have a high-end Outback controller which can handle high-voltage PV arrays and up to 60v battery banks.
d) just for the heck of it! Nobody else was doing it, and I wanted to see if my ideas were valid. Also my Prosine blew up!
