I picked up some gossip that the Outback is fairly ordinary mass market, but costly, and that a guy who worked for them got fed up and created MidNite to make "handmade" controllers which are way superior.
Outback case looks very, very similar to Midnite, indeed.
Costly?... Maybe just a little. Midnite have no 80A units, so it's hard to tell. Not sure whether 60V battery capability of Outback 80 has much use in RV applications. IMO, 60A controller with 48A battery capability would work just fine with arrays under 600W that the OP is planning.
Handmade?... It is possible to remove all the automatics from assembling lines in China where 99% of controllers are made, but somehow I doubt it. Wherever robots are cheaper than local workforce, they are being used, of course.
High-end Outback? High-current, yes, but not sure is there is anything high-end to either brand. Though I would stay away from fly-by-night models that pop up now and then at Ebay and online stores with little or no history (and those are usually low-amp 10A or 20A units).
