It's all about choices (not necessarily technology). Your choices appear to be exactly right for you.
I’m comparing using a $400 auto carryout dome that gets HD, east west (nice advantage) instead of a $1500 rooftop that I could rarely use where I like to camp. Being tied to DISH is not a negative. They cost less per month, too.
