I felt the best way for me to go was to at least meet their minimum recommendation for wire sizing. I was also willing to accept the added expense of exceeding the recommendation by using 4 AWG wire. I don’t think I’d want to expend the amount of time and effort I put into installing this just to end up with wires that are warm to the touch.
