Reduced engine power

Motorhome Workhorse W22 2008 has been in reduced power since last year , mobile mechanic came out and said we need a new throttle pedal.

Purchased one from Workhorse parts, fitted it ourselves . tried the throttle relearn .

DTC code coming up again U0107 Lost Communication with throttle actuator control module.

Got another HG mechanic and he said it was the throttle actuator module.

purchased one from Workhorse parts , fitted it ourselves as it says it is a plug and play.

still coming up with the same error code

Checked everything . batteries . fuel levels , fuses. wiring

Anyone else have this issue

  • Thank you for your input . As I live in Alberta Canada and have to order from Workhorse USA , order has to be paid before shipping and been advised and checked  by the mechanic .

so your not far from me, I would have to go through the same issues.  I would get the original mechanic on the phone and tell him your not happy as he recommended a part, you changed it and it is the same.  I am not sure what you mean advised and checked by the mechanic, but you have had two mechanic tell you its the same thing replaced it twice and it didn't work.  so either you did something wrong and wrecked two parts (not my first guess) , or there is something else to the installation procedure that you don't know.  like maybe calibration the new throttle peddle, but you say its plug and play.  did you clear the codes when you did the installation?

it could be the main computer its self or the wiring between them, we would only be guessing.  I would suggest getting the factory to recommend some one in Alberta for you who might be able to help you troubleshoot the issue better.

Hi  just to clarify my first message

first mechanic said it was the throttle pedal .

second mechanic said it was the throttle actuator module

All I was looking for on this forum was as any advice if anyone has had the same issue . Looking like it is more an electrical issue . Awaiting for a wiring diagram .
        thanks

  • I suggest next time let the mechanic fit it, which you should have done in the first place.  that way if it isn't the issue you are not out money.
