Refeer Box Temp

I'm here in Yuma for a couple of days. Temp is 105. box temp is 47. I would immage the temp around the cooling unit is about 110 to 115. I currently have 5 muffin fans 3 at the top of the coils and the factory 2. I placed a 12" box fan at the opening. I realized I'm just forcing 105 degree air across the coils. My question after all of that is: is 47 about the best is can hope for? Thanks in advance for comments. Marv
  • Same here in Phoenix. Even at 115 I’m still at 34 in the fridge, and I could turn it colder with my adjustable thermistor box. I have inside fridge fans also.
  • My fridges have always performed fine even at 104. I suspect you have a partial blockage that has diminished your cooling power.
  • That's what I got used to with my propane fridges. Anything over 90 degrees and things would start to go down hill quickly. I always supplemented the cooling with Ice jugs.

Then fortunately my propane fridge failed.

I am on my second year with my danfoss compressor fridge and could not be happier. It would be 37 in the fridge there and 0 in the ice box. Not bragging but if that one should fail, I would try a compressor fridge they are great. JMHO
  • That’s 58 degrees of cooling. Pretty good IMO. I have never ask my home fridge for such service.
