What is wrong with those temps?

When our Dometic began acting up, it was replaced with a $450 Whirlpool.

Go residential.

Those temps are with in reason.....would like to see lower freezer temps.

What temp setting are you using?
What are outside temps?
Is fridge in a slide out?
Does it have cooling fans in outside compartment...are they working?

And the $$$$ question......is the rig level?
Operating the fridge when in off-level conditions causes damage (blockage).
Damage from off-level operation is accumulative and not repairable

So every time it is run off level and little more blockage can/does occur......reducing the ability to cool.

IF you end up having to replace...replacement cooling units (new & rebuilt) is cheaper than a new fridge.

Replacing with a residential fridge (compressor vs absorption) is an option....provided you will ALWAYS have 110V AC power source.

Temps are about normal for an RV fridge.

Depends on the outside temps, freezer need defrostin, how often you are going in and out of it AND how long you stand there to decide what you want! These RV fridge's are not the same as your stick built one.

Try moving the temp gauge on the fins, defrost the freezer if ice build is a lot, before you start spending unnecessary money on a new one.

Residential.any brand is better than an absorption fridge.

I don't see anything wrong with the temps. you have.
Has a Norcold repairman told you something was wrong?

If it has cooling fans in the back make sure they are working. If it is installed in a slide it should have them, but have seen a few without them. Make sure there is nothing blocking the air flow behind the fridge.

We had very similar temps to those in our fridge before we installed this device. Ours would ice up, and the stuff on the bottom was lukewarm, and near the block of ice it was fairly cool... If your fins are cold but the fridge is not, it worked for us...

The residential unit is an option, however, it sure would be nice to have the propane option available. We have stayed at a few campgrounds recently where they lost power frequently...
