- Fleet_ManExplorerWhen mine broke off, I got a piece of metal, fastened it to the bottom of the door - angled out at the hinge end, drilled an appropriately located hole for the hinge pin, used a teflon washer as a bearing and never looked back. This was before any repair kits were available. A replacement door with the same design flaw for $300,00 was not considered a viable option. This was on a Norcold 822 refrigerator.
- liveneasyExplorerYep... you can buy a new door. Last time I checked, about three years ago, they were going for around $300. When mine broke I got out the JB Weld, used generous quantities of it putting the plastic pieces back together, waited till the next day to sand and reshape the repaired area... and it's been working just fine for last 3 years.
I have a note in my refrigerator manual about a company in Elkhart, Indiana... All Seasons RV Appliance Parts & Service... that says they have a repair kit available for around $19 for the hinges and will ship. Their phone number is (574) 293-4591 or 1-800-344-0673. I've never tried it but it's worth a call to them to see if they can help. Good luck. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIYou can look up Brand/Model here and see exploded views with part numbers.......LINK
- Vet_ManExplorerTry contacting the Ref. manufacture.
- old_guyExplorertake the make and model number to a rv dealer and have them check their catalogs and you should be able to get any thing for a frig.
