Refrigerator Roof Vent Cover Needs Replacement

I have a 2014 Keystone Passport 195. Its going on about 4 years old.

The plastic cover on the roof that is above the refrigerator/freezer is worn out and crumbling apart.

It looks like something I could replace myself if I could find out what the make/model of the part is.

Are these all universal or do I need to know the make/model of my fridge?

Could anyone please assist?

Thanks.

Regards,
Steve.

  • Thats the one I put on mine, been on there 2 years or so, and working well.
  • Good Morning All!

Thanks to everyone for their assistance.
I should have the new unit tomorrow and have it installed before I go camping next weekend.

    Steve.
  • Look into replacing it with a solar powered unit with fans in it, it will help with cooling.
  • Any RV store should have the universal ones. Use a dap of sealant on the screws and you're ready to go. We bought one at CW recently but took it back when I found that all that was wrong with mine is it wasn't installed correctly the first time - someone used non-plated sheetrock screws which rusted and broke in half. Four stainless screws from HD took care of things.

Interesting that yours is falling apart. My MH is a 2005 and I don't know if the cover was original or not, but it looked like it. It was still in good shape so I used it instead of the new one.

  • Hi Steve, this is super easy to replace. Google rv refrigerator for the part, about 20 bucks. To replace, there are typically 4 screws. They put a dab of caulk over the screw heads (use Dicor) so just scrape the screw head out, unscrew the 4screws, replace, re-caulk.
