One KNOWN issue (Dometic aware) is faulty heating strip in upper fridge cabinet 'burning' (discolored/warped plastic)
Remedy---replace fridge!
As for the cooling/non-cooling issue-----
Proper installation & correct ventilation are the 'primary' requirements for proper fridge operation
RV MFGs. screw this part up routinely. When done PER Dometic Installation Instructions fridges work.
For your fridge
Zero (0) clearance side/top/bottom between fridge and cabinet.
*And this is the really important part------Zero/1" MAX clearance between back-wall and rearmost part of fridge
If wider clearance then baffles needed:
1) Lower section just below absorber tubes (large slanted tubes)
2) Upper section just above condenser fins to block any dead air space and/or direct air flow out upper side vent if in a slide out
Fans should also be installed just above absorber tubes to PULL air in lower vent----thru absorber tubing then PUSH air up backside of fridge THRU condenser fins and out of RV
Thermistor and thermostat are the 'key' to proper temp control
You need to YELL-----Be a PITA with a Dometic Service Rep while warranty is still in affect and get authorization for 'Mobile RV Tech'
OR better yet.Dometic Factory Tech to evaluate/document issues and FIX them
