Try the rabbit ears on the TV first, to make sure the TV is good. Make wure the TV set itself will receive and use a digital signal. My most embaressing moment was drying to debug and antenna problem using an older analog only TV set in an RV. It would not receive any stations, because there were no stations to receive.
