I replaced Leaky Washered Plastic Phoenix with Squeaky Washerless Plastic Phoenix. Was just happy to get direct replacements. So many residentials connect differently or have different hole patterns. One thing I wanted to do was replace the "flat" kitchen sink faucet with a high arch one. I had a resi faucet home and found it no higher than what I had. Then looked on Amazon and they had an arched squeaky plastic Phoenix and I went with it. My joy with how well that project went eclipses my angst with the squeak.
I thought I was going to have to help my cousin change out the faucet on the stainless sink in his fiver. I think it would have gone OK, but I found there was a razor sharp folded edge on the bottom of the sink. Right at the faucet mounts, probably to stiffen it. Would have worn gloves or tried to put tape on that knife edge.
