Replacement Window Glass

If you know the exact measurements these guys will make a piece for you. They may already have a template for you glass if they've made one before, call and ask. A pane for our driver's sliding window was $60, they already a template for it. I had them make several other pieces for fogged/etched thermopanes. Four pieces of glass plus shipping was about $340.

Contacted Fleetwood. Got the following response:

separately for any Se-Gi windows except the torque model.
Driver's window is Part # 311917 - 4-5 weeks @ $346.92 / each
Se-Gi does charge a $40.00 set up fee plus a $30.00 packing fee, and the
window will need to ship Truck Freight (approx. $150.00)

You can call Fleetwood with your FIN and get the part number and probably the glass. FW has always been very helpful.

The opening measures nominally 8 1/2 by 48 1/2.

I don't have the number of the glass. There was not enough of it left to find a number. If there are other Discovery 39S owners out there who can provide a number for that piece of glass, I would greatly appreciate it. I've also posted on the Discovery Owner's forum, and have gotten some feedback there as well.
I've used Duncan Systems for windshield replacement, so they are on my list to call. Haven't had a chance to call anybody yet - lost the window Saturday and got home late Saturday.

I think Duncan will ship the glass to you for DIY replacement.

Look up the window mfg. Mine came from Atwood as I Recall. I took the number off the glass, called the mfg, they shipped the glass to me and I installed the glass into the window frame. Came out pretty good and the cost was less than $100. Good luck with yours.

Nothing special about automotive window glass. That is all it is, either single or dual pane......

Double pane Rv windows are different (if that applies here) With a window fogged up with water between the panes, the auto-glass outfit here would not try it as they said half the time they break a pane getting them apart and then they are stuck because they do not carry that special kind of glass.

I had to get the Rv dealer to get a replacement from the RV builder. (which gets them from a "supplier" that does all their windows.)
