I cannot take credit for that. Way back, when I could not get my 6s to show SG fully in the green with my first 20a Vector old model ("A") style, I asked the Vector tech rep (they were still in business back then) why.
He said (this was in 2005) with 6s you need to get them above 15v and my Vector charger could not do that (was 14.6v) He said they were soon to come out with a new charger that could. Turned out that was their "D" model with the 14.8 and also the 15.7 Equalize feature.
Right then, Black and Decker bought out Vector and the "D" became "DBD" and we got the VEC1093DBD. You can still get these but who knows for how long? Stanley then bought out the B&D battery charger side, and then has since farmed it out to somebody else, maybe even B&DI forget or can't keep track.
Anyway, it was the Vector tech rep that set me straight, followed by the now seen blurbs on the Interstate and US battery sites.
BTW, mena's mermaid sister (known as Gertrude locally) never showed up this year, so we all figured she got knocked up last winter and went somewhere else, being shy as she is.
