Wiring seems sturdy, not thin, maybe 10-12 gauge.
I haven't spoken with the service guys at the dealer I bought from, but " we do this all the time" suggests a level of expertise that proper gauge wiring would have been used. Of course, I don't know this absolutely, but will make the call to inquire before doing anything.
