Replacing current 30A with MPPT controller - make sense?

Some of you have followed other posts of mine re: solar, and satellite, so hope this additional inquiry elicits similarly helpful info... If I knew then what I suspect now, I'd have had the Dealer ...

series panels (Each panel plugs into another, i.e., 1 to 2, then 2 to 3.) means you need mppt. going from PWM to MPPT with series panels will be a big increase in charging. Like from 8A to 24A!

What exact controller do you have?
