Replacing current 30A with MPPT controller - make sense?

Some of you have followed other posts of mine re: solar, and satellite, so hope this additional inquiry elicits similarly helpful info... If I knew then what I suspect now, I'd have had the Dealer ...

can the controller handle the 36v , the OP's is limited to 25v, surely they are in parallel.

With such a low voltage panel and the distance one would need to series a couple to get power at battery voltage to the controller/battery, otherwise you are operating the panel way past the knee where there is little power. 14v Vmp for a 18v Voc panel?
