I cannot lock one of my doors with the key. I cannot unlock the other one with the key.So, I have come to the conclusion it is time to replace the locks and keys.How hard is it to do? How hard would it be to get the original key code?

It would help to know what vehicle these door locks are on: trailer, motorhome, etc. Also how old are they? FIC had a recall a couple years ago for bad locks. If you have one of those, they are easy to change.

I don't know about something that old but for mine changing he cylinders is a 10 sec job. A good dealer should have replacement cylinders.

I changed all my external compartments to these https://www.amazon.com/Combi-Cam-7850R-S-Combination-Chrome-Finish/dp/B001DI059Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505106550&sr=8-1&keywords=combination+lock+RVI prefer the black ones with white numbers over the chrome with black numbers.I took me about 20 minutes to figure out the first one, then another 20 minutes for the other 5.I got the covers for them as well to keep the road and dirt out of the tumblers. I've never looked back.For the door... I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the 200.00 for a pushbutton solution or not.Time will tell.
