Replacing my suburban gas and electric 6 gallon water heater

Got a new tank and installed it today but now I have a new problem. I ordered a sw6de and they sent me a sw6del. It said it was a same replacement but I have an extra orange wire that runs off the new. Im guessing it's for the A/C side of the heater but my unit only has a single switch to flip inside. Can I wire the red and orange together up to the switch in the coach. The 120v is on the outside of the unit behind the gas tube. Anyone have this issue besides me?
