Replacing RV Microwave

I removed the existing microwave convection and disconnected the existing vent system. My question is when replacing with a new microwave convection oven, can the same vent system be screwed onto the new one? I noticed on the old one the vent was screwed on with small metal screws. Any advice would be appreciated. I do not want to replace the old one with the same type. The vent system allowed the microwave convection oven to vent to the front.

You will be hard pressed to find one that vents up like the original RV one did unless you buy a residential above the stove micro and they cost a way lot more money.

I have found them at small camping stores priced reasonably. And you can order them from any RV dealership or find them in their camping store too.
  • go to wally world find one you like and put her in.look to see if the vent is on the right side as yours.
  • On my rig the microwave is secured to the RV with a bracket and small metal screws that enter into microwave metal case ... those screws don't seem to impact anything on microwave. And if I was buying a new microwave I would attach it in the same manner. My microwave vents into the cabinet and out through the cosmetic vent associated with many microwaves - those are usually attached to the cabinet rather than microwave.
