Replacing starter rope on eu1000i Honda Gen
I need to replace the starter rope on my eu 1000 Honda. Anyone done the job, or know how difficult it mite be ? I can't find it on U-tube. Rich

Per the shop manual:
-Remove front cover
-Remove control panel
-Remove muffler protector
-Remove maintenance cover
-Remove side cover
-Remove fuel tank
-Remove inverter
-Remove recoil starter
Then, it's five pages on how to fit a new rope. You and skip this and replace the starter itself, fully assembled. List price is $17.64, while the rope alone is $3.84 list.
A shop manual is strongly recommended if you want to DIY.
