Replacing starter rope on eu1000i Honda Gen
I need to replace the starter rope on my eu 1000 Honda. Anyone done the job, or know how difficult it mite be ? I can't find it on U-tube. Rich

I can't help on the procedure, just a theory on why it broke. I have seen posts on here that people have broken the rope on their eu2000 by pulling up instead of pulling out. Now I know yours is only a 1000 but the failure is probably the same. If you pull up on the rope while starting, it drags the rope across the top of the hole in the case and can cause premature wear. I know that doesn't help in the repair, but might help in prolonging the life of the replacement.
