. Tightening the nuts on the mount on the door (remove plastic caps on top and bottom of mount on door) doesn't help, it just makes it harder for my wife to move it back into place.Any fixes out there?
Yes there is!
I have the same problem with both mirrors. While I can roll the window down on my side to bring it back in position the passenger side can't be reached from the drivers seat.
The passenger side one keeps moving out of adjustment just enough to prohibit me from seeing what I need to pass which has put me in some dangerous situations.
And don't laugh just yet, but what I finally found to fix the problem was plastic tubing. Like the type you use for the air hoses on a fish tank only a little bit bigger diameter!! You can find it any hardware store.
I cut a small piece of it bend it in half and stick it in the very tiny opening that allows the mirror to move. That piece of plastic tubing is 'still' there doing it's job for 20,000 miles and counting!
The mirror fix cost me a whole dollar because I had to buy a foot of it.:B
