I have no doubt that the Batwing with Wingman is superior to the Jack at max range, since that has been measured as reported. However, if you are not camping at such distance from the transmitters, so the Jack gets what you want, then for YOU where you are, the Jack can't be beaten by the Wingman.
It is obviously silly to compare the Jack vs the Batwing without the Wingman for UHF and say the Jack does better. Of course it does, but so what? Apples and Oranges.
The other thing I like to throw in on these same threads (which keep coming back like a bad penny) is that TV sets are not all the same for channel selection. With my antenna the same way, I can put one TV on it and do a channel search and get say 8 stations. I put a different TV set there and do a channel search and I can get 12 stations. TV sets are not all equal, never mind how the antenna does.
BTW, I can get Vancouver stations across the Strait of Georgia from Qualicum Bay on the Island at something like 60 miles with my Jack, no problem. I don't know if it helps to be more line of sight across the water, but that is a good range for the Jack IMO. So I don't need a Wingman, since I already have what I want with the Jack, which was my point in the beginning.
