Resi fridges in more and more units

"Avanti" apt size , drops right in too replace the avg 7CuFT Norcold or Dometic

there are others that fit, some owners can Fit a 10Cuft model doing a little bit of cabinet work

Many will work on MSW but you loose15-20% efficiency. Samsung uses D.C. compressors so very little lose on a MSW. I went with the Whirlpool because it came close to fitting in the NoCold 1200 hole...was 1/2" to tall.

PSW is an important note. I believe that only some, i.e. Samsung, can work with MSW.

Apples to apples, with same size box and same insulation, 12V fridge with variable speed compressor will draw 20-30% less 12VDC than 120V fridge, if you were to run it also on 12VDC. Mostly because there is no inverter involved.

RV manufacturer will hang himself before spending extra $500-700 on 12V fridge (compared to same size 120V fridge). Even though it's usually more expensive RVs where they install 120V fridges.

That's the key. 120V compressor fridges are for hookups, mostly. Boondocker would either need a substantial solar, or run a generator twice as much as before.

7-pin connector in TT is rated 10A, I think.

Fridge should be fine in transit.
Battery might be a bit low after a day of travel so just plug in and you are good to go.
Off-grid is what gets challenging.
