And memories of hotshot engineers who tried buffaloing and baffling customers and clients with dung heaps of hyperbole that explained nothing to a novice but made them feel inferior or worse. Satiating the ego at the expense of folks who pay the bills really got me snapping and drawing blood.
Engineering is fun. All evolved disciplines are fun. But people weak in character tend to use their education as social leverage.
And it ends up looking like someone in a Tuxedo and cummerbund spreading a linen tablecloth and arranging fine china, to dine at McDonald's.
So please excuse me if I growl when you step too close to my tail :)
