This is one of the reasons for posting up... I've not finalized what controller brand or model as of yet.
I am somewhat hung up as to whether with just a couple of GC Trojan batteries or a T1275, whether I should even spring for a Trimetric 2025 RV. Seems a bit like over kill, around $200, when I just camp, I don't live in the 21 foot travel trailer or boondock full time. Sure, it's nice, sure, I can afford it, but I'm more a nuts and bolts type of guy, a voltmeter and a $25 hydrometer will tell me the same information... Mexwanderer is a good role model, plus I learned the basics on batteries with my job early on, pretty much by rote.
Do you have some brands or models that you considered also, in your wanderings / exploratory path of solar battery charging while boondocking?
