Now i would like to run fresh wires and connect the dock lights into reverse. What going to be the best way about doing that?
Depends on the current draw. If the dock lights added to the reverse lights do NOT exceed the max current of the fuse, just run a hot wire from the reverse lights up to the dock lights.
If the dock lights added DO exceed the current limit of the reverse light fuse, you need a 12v NO (Normally Open) relay tied from the reverse light hot to ground. Then wire the other side to a fused hot wire and the dock lights.
This has both a NO and a NC (Normally Closed) circuit. Just use the right one. Pins 85 and 86 are the control circuit, to the reverse lights. Pins 30 and 87 (not 87A) are the NO switched circuit from 12v+ to the dock lights.
