Ok how can i determine if the dock lights will overload the reverse fuse prior to splicing and hooking them in...
I assume you are leaving the towing cable disconnected at this time???
If so, then just connect the docking lights. You can just twist the wires together or any way convenient for testing. My rv has a separate switch for the docking lights versus being run from the reverse lights. Maybe you have a switch too??
In any case, the addition of the docking lights should be fine.
Once you have that sorted out then you can go back to finding the issue with the trailer harness.
Yes leaving it disconnected right now as we don't tow with this rv at the moment. Will figure out exactly what was doing it though just so it functions properly is needed. So in the current configuration the two docking lights are just connected to each other with a ground spliced in the middle. Once grounded can i just run a "hot" from the reverse feed the the towing plug that i know is good to on of the lights "hot" and be good to test?
I thought there would be a switch for docking but there isn't? Just ACC which is un used and Flash which also doesn't appear to work? Unless that was hooked up to the dock lights? Pretty sure the manual says they were/are to be linked with reverse..
