No general comments here, case in fact.
Several years ago, we had an Everest 5th wheel. It came with Mission ST235-80-16 tires rated at 3420# on 6000# axles. The tires were always at 80PSI, loaded trailer scaled at 9500# on the axles, and never ever drove over 65mph. After just over 2 years and 6000 miles all 4 tires failed with tread bubbles and seperations on one trip of 600 miles in the month of May with cool temperatures. Replaced all tires with LT235-85-16 Michelin XPS Ribs. Towed over 20,000 miles including 11,000 miles round trip to Alaska. The LT tires performed flawlessly.
Have since moved to our signature Motor Coach. The tires on the 5er were still in excellent condition when sold.
