ERS,
How about something like this:
Please note: this was in an Excel spreadsheet that I am just pasting the data without the formatting.
Size Load Range Suggested Replacement Notes Not as good of recommendation, but better than nothing
ST195/75R14 B 185R14C Load Range D - Note: This a VW EuroVan tire that may be hard to locate Use at 40 psi - Be sure to check rim for max pressure Same size, Load Range C - Use the higher inflation pressure = 50 psi, Be sure to check rim for max pressure
ST195/75R14 C 185R14C Load Range D - Note: This a VW EuroVan tire that may be hard to locate Use at 55 psi - Be sure to check rim for max pressure ST205/75R14 Load Range C - Check for clearance - you need 1/8" more between the tire and the trailer body, and 1/4" more between tire tread and fender.
ST205/75R14 B Same size, Load Range C Use 50 psi - Be sure to check rim for max pressure
That goes even beyond what I was thinking. You are actually doing the work of figuring out a viable non ST tire replacement for the ST. Funny thing you mention some of this European stuff. I just found the Goodyear Cargo G26. Apparently two sizes of this are used on Sprinter delivery vans in Europe. The only problem is I can't determine the load capacity. I found a document from Goodyear that lists one value that is even higher than an ST of the same basic size and pressure. TireRack lists a lower load rating which is slightly less than the ST. So I am not sure what to make of it.
P.S. I will gladly format and post any table you PM me (crediting you of course).
