Has it been mentioned and I missed it, a recommended temperature to stay with in? I know one does not fit all situations, But is 110* with a IR gun a good place to start? On either tire.
I have seen temperature on Chinese Marathons on my fiver running 110 to 115 in low 80s ambient. They ran in the mid to high 90s when it was in the low 40s. The big thing to look for is big temperature differences between one and all the rest. Those of use that do this also do the same to the bearings and the brake drums.
I have caught a problem doing this and fixed it on a parking lot before suffering a failure.
