Yeah, this is a great thread. Despite a few who can't be bothered to make some connections not spoon-fed them (personal attacks then commencing), as not all answers are simple, nor is all information available for public dissemination as noted above.
The insights about testing (TM9; temps, etc) are especially illuminating these past few pages. Thanks! As have been discussions about tires in general, and back to the earliest pages.
I intend to go to what I had earlier dismissed as more trouble than it was worth: individual wheel weights. As my load isn't likely to change too much it may be that -- TT not at GVWR -- I can give myself a bit more leeway on tire choice if I have closer info than an axle average. Your emphasis here was decisive for me, TM9. That will be my starting point: representative load plus some more.
That's not today or tomorrow, so I remain in pursuit of best information.
