"If applicable" refers back to the presence of an on-board propane SYSTEM. Manufacturers can't evade that requirement by just not including the tank as part of the sale, wink,wink.
And here's another kicker, maybe...it seems to me that there's been some discussion of subtracting tongue/pin weight from the GAW number.
Looks like that's not allowed either:

Note:
The page quoted from applies to units under 10,000 pounds, but there's nearly identical language in the regs for those over 10,000 pounds.
