You are assuming that trailer manufacturers will honor a request for a new placard. My manufacturer ignored my request to update some details on my placard. The request included a picture and detailed info on what I thought could be upgraded as it reflected GAWR based on the standard 15" not the optional 16" LT tires.

So who has actually gotten a new placard issued?

BTW placard must be correct by law at first retail sale. There is no legal requirement after first retail sale.
