BTW placard must be correct by law at first retail sale. There is no legal requirement after first retail sale.

I’ve not found anything in the regulations that releases the owner from following the established minimum requirements set in place with the original placard. You can equal the minimum requirements or even increase them. If you use lesser equipment not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer you alone must accept the responsibility for your actions.
