FE continues to have an one man push to keep everyone on cheap ST tires! Why?

He was finally going to throw the towel in on them and install 17.5 rims and tires. Then he reversed that direction and said he was staying with more ST's and the occasional failures. Hard to understand what drives such thinking, as he has had more failures than most! Guess it is hard to push a product if you are not using it yourself??????
