"Minimum vehicle tire requiremments" kinda sums it all up. That is what middle level and below manufacturers seem to be installing. The higher end manufacturers seem to have seen the light and are installing 17.5 rims and tires OEM.

Someone at my dealer saw the light back in 2004 and ordered the optional 16 LT's on my floor model trailer and not the standard 15 ST tires.
