So another tire thread ends at the same point. FE and his pile of documents that is as tall as his pile of failed ST tires trying to convince the world that they are great tires and that one is somehow required to continue to use them.
Many thought this cycle was going to end a couple months ago when he announced that he was getting to old to deal with the tire issues and had decided to install new 17.5 rims and commercial truck tires, which was a wise choice! But in the end it is not to be! He reversed that decision and continues his marketing campaign of ST tires.
His was one of the easy one to rectify having OEM LRD ST rated to 3000 pounds he could have installed a quality set of LT245/75R16E like the Michelin XPS RIBs or Bridgestone Duravis R250's and saved himself and the rest of us a lot of heartaches.
The two tires noted above seem to be the two most highly regarded replacement tires followed by the poly carcass BFG Commercial TA!
I believe the OP said something way back in the beginning about sharing what works in real conditions out on the highway. In most cases that is not ST tires. Very few tire threads are started about LT tire failures with the exception of GY G614's.

Fe is winding up with all his government documents. Let's face it, just because Big Brother wrote it doesn't mean it's the best thing to do. Most government documents are written by lawyers to protect their wealthy clients. They could care less for all us trailer trash.
