"Tires are talked about in these tire threads primarily because someone had a problem with their OE trailer tires. Most times a simple, single load capacity increase will fix the situation because during the search and conversations the owner of the failed tire (s) has also learned a lot about the trailer tire design and its needs. When a OE tire size is already at it’s maximum load capacity other options are sought out and when cross designs are used their parameters will not match that of the OE tires."
Most owners will NEVER TELL YOU they drove their trailer across Texas at 80 mph and then the tire blew.
When you look at the total number of failures compared to the abuse (mostly of speed) and how many trailers are out there it's a wonder there are not more failures.
Anyone towing a trailer across Texas at 80 MPH deserves tire problems, I do not care what type of tire it is! Chris
Your right Chris. There are some states where the maximum speed for towing is higher than the 65mph the ST tires are rated for. And there are those on this forum who have admitted to towing at those speeds.
